Land Acquisition/Disposition
Elk Grove Park District
Mayor Johnson reported that he met with the President and Executive Director of the Elk
Grove Park District.
The Park District desires to acquire the Village's 2 acres parcel on Rohlwing Road to
construct a maintenance garage. They desire to sell their warehouse in the Business Park
and sell their administrative offices on Biesterfield Road and consolidate operations in
the Pavilion.
In exchange for the Village's property, the Park District would provide the Village with
their portion of the Biesterfield Public Works Garage and accept maintenance
responsibility of the Village's Residential Enhancement Program landscaping for a period
of 10 years or so.
The consensus of the Committee was to authorize additional discussion. The Village
needs to ensure that any public works garage constructed on Rohlwing Road is
aesthetically pleasing and well landscaped.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
