The Village Attorney reported that the Elk Grove Sister City organization is proposing
changes to the bylaws recently agreed to. The changes suggested are no pay for Village
officials' travel costs, the expansion of the Board of Directors from 7 to 9 individuals,
and rejection of a requirement for an annual audit.
The Board discussed the proposed changes and decided it would be in the Village's best
interests to not have Village representation on the Elk Grove Sister Cities Board of
Directors. The Elk Grove Sister Cities organization will function like any other
independent organization.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
