Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on May 142002 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Litigation matter.

Litigation
The Mayor reported that a new owner of the Biesterfield/Arlington Heights Road
Mc Donald's contacted him about renovating the building. The new design for the
building was proposed to include white exterior walls and a red roof. After he
communicated the Village's preference to maintain the aesthetics of a brick building, the
owner threatened to pursue the matter legally.
The Mayor asked for the Board's thoughts on the proposal. The unanimous consensus
was to not approve of the new design and to authorize the Mayor to negotiate other
options with the McDonald's owner.
The meeting adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
