The Mayor reported that an upcoming meeting will take place between the Village
Manager, Village Attorney and representatives of the Park District to discuss an
intergovernmental agreement on Channel 6. The Mayor reported that the agreement will
state that the Village will cablecast Park District meetings at no cost to the Park District,
that Park District programming will continue unchanged whenever possible, and that a
new Channel 6 committee may be established between the Village and High School.
The Village Manager will provide hiring criteria for a Channel 6 director to the Board on
May 28. The Mayor stated the new Director would be hired this summer. The High
School is interested in setting up an educational program to develop a credit curriculum
for students to train at the new studio.
The meeting adjourned at 6:19 p.m.
