PROCHNO Village Trustee Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on March 19. 2002 this Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter. Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: December 2002 Date of approval for release: 3/19/02 7:35 p.m. Personnel The Village Manager reported that the Board was provided with his Wage and Salary recommendations for FY 02/03 in a February 15, 2002 memo, supplemented by a January 7, 2002 report on Police Sergeants, and summarized the recommendations as follows: The Merit Pay Plan The consensus of the Village Board was as follows: Range movement of 4% for all merit pay plan positions with the exception of Police Sergeants, which would be increased 4.98%. Merit positions would have a general increase of 0% to 3.5%with a 0%to 1%merit adjustment. This provides increases of 0% to 4.5%. A Range Movement increase of 0% to 2% funded at 0.75% of salaries. MEP increases as follows: Group I $575 to $650 Increase of$75 Group II $675 to$750 Increase of$75 Group III $750 to $800 Increase of$50 Group IV $825 to $850 Increase of$25 Group V $1,125 to $1,150 Increase of$25 The Step Pay Plan 3.5% increase Longevity increases as follows: 10 to 14 years $275 to $300 Increase of$25 15 to 19 years $375 to $400 Increase of$25 20 plus years $475 to $500 Increase of$25 Specific Rate Pay Plan 3.5% increase to salary ranges. Other Items Employee Health Award Benefit Program ■ Same as provided for police union. Title Changes for clerical positions in Finance ■ Changes as recommended by consultants and the Village Manager. Promotional increase amount for 1'` line supervisors that move from step-pay plan to merit. ■ Increase from 5%to 8%. Police Sergeants • MEP to be counted towards pension. Special Increase Considerations ■ Fire Captain Stecki to $73,827 • Fire Captain Vrshek to $73,234 The Village Manager reported the total funding request is $850,000 for the fiscal year. The consensus of the Board was to authorize the wage and salary recommendations as proposed. The meeting concluded at 8:10 p.m.
