Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on March 12, 2002 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village Manager discussed his recommendation to adopt an IMRF model resolution
to include compensation paid under the Flexible Spending Plan as IMRF earnings.
Currently, the pre-tax payments for medical and childcare expenses are not IMRF
pension reportable wages. This is a disparity between IMRF employees and Police and
Fire pension employees because the latter do not reduce reportable wages for Flexible
Spending Plan deductions.
The Village Manager reported this change would encourage more employees to take
advantage of the Flexible Spending Program, and the added cost to the Village would be
approximately $13,700.
The consensus of the Board was to proceed with this change as recommended.
