The Mayor addressed issues raised by the Village Attorney related to Sister City
incorporation and financial reporting questions. The organization has a number of
procedures yet to complete in formally incorporating.
The Mayor directed the Village Attorney to work with the organization's attorney to
quickly complete these open items and to ensure the organization is complying with
appropriate regulations. The Village Attorney will report progress at the Feb. 260'
meeting.
The Board discussed requiring periodic reviews by a CPA to ensure compliance. The
Board also discussed the role of the Village in Sister City activities and their preference
to not serve directly on the Board of Directors of any specific organizations.
The meeting ended at 6:39 p.m.
