PARK DISTRICT PARADE FLOAT
The consensus of the Committee was to rent a small cake float
that will be green, white, and yellow in color and will have copy
that reads "Elk Grove Village Salutes the Park District 's 25th
Anniversary. "
STATE INCOME TAX SURCHARGE
The consensus of the Committee was to adopt a resolution at
the next Board Meeting asking that the General Assembly retain
the 1% income tax surcharge.
ELK GROVE BOULEVARD DRAINAGE DITCH IMPROVEMENTS
Consensus of the Committee was to discuss this item at the
2-19-91 COW meeting.
COMPOSTING FACILITY
The consensus of the Committee was to request a 30 day period
from Schaumburg in order to examine the proposed compost facility.
LOJACK STOLEN AUTOMOBILE LOCATORS
Consensus of the Committee was for staff to obtain costs for
maintaining the Lojack equipment and to survey neighboring
communities as to the utility of obtaining the system.
RESERVIST PAY AND BENEFIT POLICY
The consensus of the Committee was to provide activated
reservists with the following:
- The difference in pay between the reservist 's base
Village salary and the reservists total military
compensation for a period not to exceed one year.
After one year, the benefit will be reviewed by the
President and Board of Trustees.
- Continued health care and life insurance benefits for
the employee 's dependents on the same basis as all
other Village employees, including the payment of
15$ of health premiums.
- Prepare an agreement with the reservist acknowledging
the above.
The position vacated by a reservist is not to be filled
during the employee 's absence.
The meeting adjourned into executive session at 10:10 p.m.
