Zettek to represent the Village in the Panel discussion.
NONGOVERNMENTAL USERS OF FIRE HQ BUILDING
The Committee discussed several conditions offered in
a memo authorized by the Village Manager for potential
nongovernmental occupants of the Fire Administration
building. The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
1) Occupancy would be limited to the 2nd floor;
2) The Village would work with the tenants for
handicapped accessibility. If State Law requires an
independent handicapped-assessable entrance to the
second floor, then the tenant could provide that
accessibility; work with the Village to utilize the
existing elevator; or cancel the lease;
3) The tenant would be responsible for providing
insurance, communications, remodeling and security.
There would be no charge for utilities (including
heating and air conditioning costs) unless separate
billing were required by the utility companies.
The Village would provide building, custodial,
and pax-king lot maintenance;
4 ) Lease terms and length would be negotiable.
The meeting was adjourned at 9 p.m.
