ZONING PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
The Chairman of the JPZ Committee brought
the Village Board up-to-date on changes
recommended to address the concerns of the
business community. The changes to the proposed
Zoning Performance Standards were noted as
follows:
1 . Certification Process. Recommend amending
the proposal to allow the property owner to
certify prior compliance rather than
.requiring a licensed engineer to certify
compliance;
2 . Noise Regulations. Recommend adopting State
standards;
3 . Air Pollution. Recommend keeping the
Village ' s present air pollution standards;
. . .please continue
4 . Toxic and Highly Toxic Substances.
Recommend not imposing quantity limitations
but rather focusing on proper isolation,
ventilation, containment, and storage of
those substances as required by B.O.C.A. and
N.F.P.A. standards through a permit
process; and
5 . Storage of Flammable Materials. Recommend
maintaining the current standards but also
requiring a permit for the outside storage
of 55-gallon containers to ensure B.O. C.A.
and N.F.P.A. requirements are met.
It was the consensus of the Committee for
the JPZ Committee to meet with members of
the Greater O'Hare Association to discuss
further the recommended changes to the
proposed Zoning Performance Standards .
CTU - CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

appoint Bart Dill as the Village ' s
