Rummel, Administrative Assistant BIESTERFIELD IMPROVEMENTS REPORT The consensus of the Committee was to meet on July 11 at 7 p.m. to discuss the Biesterfield Road Improvements project. UNION NEGOTIATIONS The consensus of the Committee was to meet on July 9 at 6 : 30 p.m. REQUEST FOR TAXI CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY The consensus of the Committee was to hold the public hearing on July 9 at 7 : 45 p.m. EGHS REQUEST FOR DONATIONS The consensus of the Committee was not to provide funding for the construction of a fitness center at Elk Grove High School. . . .please continue FOREST PRESERVE COMMITTEE MEETING Trustee Gallitano reported that the Forest Preserve Recreation Committee wants to meet with the Village to discuss an overpass on Higgins Road and the relocation of the proposed oakton Street entrance. The consensus of the Committee was for Staff to arrange the meeting and report back to the Village Board. OVERTIME PRACTICES REPORT The consensus of the Committee was to refer the item to the Personnel Committee. BIESTERFIELD AT MEACHAM RIGHT-TURN LANES The consensus of the Committee was to remove the right-hand turn lanes on Biesterfield at Meacham Road. SIDEWALKS ON ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD The Village Manager noted that the State will pay one-half the cost for the installation of new sidewalks on Arlington Heights Road in conjunction with the widening of the road. It was the consensus of the Committee to have the State install the sidewalks. The owners of the pi:operty in front of where the sidewalk is installed will be responsible for paying the cost of the sidewalk. LEAF COLLECTION PROGRAM EXPANSION It was the consensus of the Committee to expand the program to include churches, schools, parks, attached single-family units, and multi-family units. Staff will prepare the ordinance making the change and place it on a future Village Board Agenda.
