ROCK' EM BILLIARDS REQUEST FOR LIQUOR LICENSE
President Zettek reported that Rock ' em Billiards is
requesting a liquor license for a new restaurant. An accessory
use to the restaurant will be a billiards parlor with
approximately 20 tables .
It was the consensus of the Committee not to object to the
issuance of a liquor license.
FRANKLIN STREET CURBS
The consensus of the Committee was for Staff to pursue having
the homeowners replace the curbs . Staff is to inform the
homeowners that the curb can be replaced with a depressed curb
and gutter. In addition, the Village Attorney is to prosecute
any known contractors who cut the curbs .
TAXICAB CERTIFICATES OF AUTHORITY
The consensus of the Committee was for the Village Attorney
to prepare the necessary ordinance to grant the Certificate of
Authority to Jon's Taxi and amend the Certificate of Authority
for American Taxi.
In addition, Staff is to prepare a draft "Taxi Cab Licensing
Ordinance" for Village Board review. The draft ordinance is to
include language ensuring that all taxicabs operating in the
Village purchase Village vehicle stickers.
COURT DIVERSION PROGRAM ORDINANCE
The Village Attorney presented an ordinance to the Village
Board regarding the settlement of miscellaneous court offenses .
The Attorney noted that the ordinance is consistent with the
ordinances adopted by other towns in the Diversion Program. The
consensus of the Committee was to adopt the ordinance at the
forthcoming Village Board meeting.
SISTER CITIES PROGRAM
The consensus of the committee was to have a presentation on
Sister Cities on August 20 at 7 p.m
The meeting adjourned at 8 :05 p.m.
