PARK DISTRICT HAUNTED HOUSE
The Village President reported that the Park District has
requested permission to place temporary signs in Village
parkways and at Grove Junior High advertising its haunted
house.
The consensus of the Committee was to allow the placement
of the signs as requested.
CHARITABLE GOODS RECYCLING
The consensus of the Committee was for staff to examine
the feasibility of implementing a curbside recycling program
for charitable goods and report back to the Village Board with
that information.
SKYLINE DISPLAY SIGN REQUEST
President Zettek reported that the residents of Oakton
Street were surveyed and they do not want the proposed
monument sign.
The consensus of the Committee was to discuss the item
with Director Boffice at the forthcoming Village Board meeting.
GARDEN CITY FRANCHISE AGREEMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to meet on Tuesday,
October 29, at 7 p.m. , to discuss the Garden City Franchise
proposal and then meet with Garden City officials at 8:15 p.m.
that same evening.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS TAX
The consensus of the Committee was to implement a
temporary 5% telecommunications tax with the proceeds being
earmarked for one-time Capital projects. The Village Board
will discuss this item further with the Director of Finance at
the forthcoming Village Board meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 8 p.m.
