Vazzano, ELK GROVE DAILY HERALD DEER OVERPOPULATION IN BUSSE WOODS President Zettek reported that he spoke with Cook County Board President Phelan about the overpopulation of deer in Busse Woods. Phelan indicated that Elk Grove needs to adopt an ordinance to invite Forest Preserve action. Phelan is to determine the language needed in the ordinance and forward that to President Zettek. BUSSE DAM MODIFICATION President Zettek reported that he also spoke with Phelan about the proposed flood mitigation additions to Busse Dam. Phelan was to gather additional information and forward that to President Zettek. MARTINGALE ROAD President Zettek reported that Martingale Road is scheduled to open on or before December 15, 1991 . BIESTERFIELD GUARDRAIL President Zettek reported that the guardrail has been installed and work is nearly complete. USAGE OF MUNICIPAL VEHICLES The consensus of the Committee was to allow the Deputy Police Chiefs and Deputy Fire Chief to utilize municipal vehicles on a permanent basis for business use. In addition, the Director of Public Works can utilize a municipal vehicle on a seasonal basis, from November 1 to March 31 , for business use. PARKING AT FOUNTAIN SQUARE PARK The Assistant Village Manager reported that the Park District is meeting with District 54 regarding the use of the Mead Junior High lot. In addition, the Park District plans to survey residents during the first week of December about on-street parking restrictions. RESTAURANT HEALTH INSPECTIONS The consensus of the Committee was for Staff to ascertain whether the village can charge restaurants for every inspection required after the second inspection needed to bring a restaurant into compliance with Village codes. OPEN HOUSE SIGNS ON PARKWAYS ON WEEKENDS The consensus of the Committee was for the village Attorney to research whether open house signs can be permitted in parkways on weekends and will report back to the Village Board. TAXI CAB LICENSING ORDINANCE The Village Attorney reported that an ordinance is being prepared for consideration by the Village Board. EXECUTIVE SESSION Trustee Gallitano moved and Tosto seconded a motion to enter into Executive Session for the purposes of discussing litigation and personnel . Upon voting, all AYES. Motion carried.
