RETIREMENT DINNER FOR DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
The consensus of the Committee was to cancel the
December 17 Committee of the Whole meeting and replace
it with a dinner for Finance Director George C. Coney,
subject to Coney being available that evening.
GARDEN CITY FRANCHISE AGREEMENT
The Village Manager reported that Garden City
agreed to all of the Village 's conditions, including
the curbside collection of charitable goods. The
agreement is on the Consent Agenda.
ELGIN-O 'HARE, MEACHAM ROAD MEDIAN STRIP
The Village Manager noted that IDOT is willing to
install greenery rather than concrete in the Meacham
Road median north of the expressway if either Cook
County or Elk Grove is willing to maintain the
vegetation. Cook County has declined to maintain
greenery in the median. Du Page County agreed to
maintain vegetation in the median in Du Page County.
The consensus of the Committee was for the
Village to decline the offer; however, staff is to
contact Cook County and request that they agree to
maintain the vegetation.
BIESTERFIELD FAUS-STREET LIGHTS
The Village Manager noted that the Federal and
State Government will provide 60% of the funding for
the street lights. The consensus of the Committee was
to include the street lights for Section 1 (Beisner to
Wellington) . Street lights for Section 2 will be
discussed at a later date.
KUNAS FARM PLAT OF SUBDIVISION
The Village Manager noted that Hamilton Partners
requested that the plat be executed prior to December
20, subject to Plan Commission approval . There was no
objection to the consent agenda item approving the
plat .
The meeting adjourned at 8 p.m.
