Parrin, Assistant Village Manager R. Rummel, Administrative Assistant REPORTERS PRESENT: M. Russis, CHICAGO TRIBUNE B. Wynn, ELK GROVE JOURNAL MARTINGALE ROAD WEIGHT LIMIT The Assistant Village Manager reported that Schaumburg is considering a 12-ton weight limit for the road. GREATER WOODFIELD CONVENTION BUREAU President Zettek reported that representatives from Greater Woodfield will make a presentation to the Village Board on April 14 at 7 p.m. FIRE SAFETY INFORMATION The consensus of the Committee was for the Fire Department to distribute fire safety information door-to-door in neighborhoods after a fire. JOURNAL & TOPICS ADVERTISEMENT The consensus of the Committee ' was to not advertise in the publication this year. VILLAGE PICNIC LOCATION There was no objection to the proposed location. SALT CREEK EROSION CONTROL PROGRAM The consensus of the Committee was to abandon the program as recommended by staff. TELEPHONE ATTENDANT/VOICE MAIL The consensus of the Committee was for staff to revisit the issue and ascertain if an automated attendant can be purchased without the voice mail system. AMERICAN 'S WITH DISABILITIES ACT(ADA) The consensus of the Committee was for the Village 's labor council to conduct a one day seminar for Village staff and perform an audit of employment procedures. The total cost will be approximately $2,000. FOREIGN FIRE INSURANCE TAX The consensus of the Committee was to continue to provide funds to the NWMC, supporting the Des Plaines litigation. In addition, staff is to continue to work with the Village 's Fire Department committee to reach an agreement that would ensure Village procedures are followed when making purchases. LANDMEIER ROAD RECONSTRUCTION The Director of Engineering and Community Development will be present on March 24 at 7 p.m. to discuss the reconstruction plans and the possibility of including some trees on the north side of Landmeier. FOUNTAIN SQUARE PARK The consensus of the Committee was as follows: 1 . Village staff will work with the Park District to develop a "Permit Parking" program; 2 . The Mead School parking signage is acceptable. 3 . The Park District will be requested to install washroom facilities on the park site; and 4 . It will be suggested that the park be closed by 6 p.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION Trustee Bosslet moved and Trustee Czarnik seconded a motion to enter into executive session to discuss personnel . Upon voting, all Ayes. The meeting entered Executive Session at 9 p.m. as c: President and Board of Trustees Village Manager, Assistant Village Manager, Administrative Assistant, Village Clerk, Village Attorney, All Department Heads
