GREATER WOODFIELD CONVENTION BUREAU
Tom Rivera, Executive Director of the Greater
Woodfield Visitors and Convention Bureau, addressed
the Village Board, along with Todd Keeler, General
Manager, Elk Grove Marriott, and Dan Smith, General
Manager, Elk Grove Holiday Inn.
Rivera requested that the Board consider
increasing contributions to Greater Woodfield in one
of three ways :
1 ) Increase contributions from 88 to 10% now
(FY 1992-93 Budget) , or,
2) Increase contributions from 8% to 10% for
FY 1993-94 Budget; or

3) Consider ceding over to the Bureau all
hotel/motel tax revenues which exceed FY 1992-93
Budget projections and increase contributions
from 8% to 10% for FY 1993-94 .
The consensus of the Committee was to take the
matter under advisement and discuss it at a future
date.
BOARD & COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS
There was no objection to President Zettek' s
reappointing Board and Commission Members whose terms
were about to expire.
BUILDING CODE AMENDMENT
The consensus of the Board was for Staff to
prepare a brief synopsis of the changes included in
the proposed code.
NEW BUSINESS ITEMS
There was no objection to the Assistant Village
Manager' s bringing up the following items of new
business at the subsequent Village Board meeting:
1 ) Increasing the contract for the recodification
of the Municipal Code;
2 ) Increasing the contract for curb and gutter
repairs; and
3) Authorizing signs to be installed in Village
parkways for the Elk Grove Distance Classic.
The meeting was adjourned at 7 :55 p.m.
