POLICE BICYCLE PATROL PROGRAM
The consensus was for the Police Department to implement a
bicycle patrol program as recommended by the Police Chief.
Authorization to accept donated bicycle equipment will come
under New Business at the following Village Board meeting
SHADYWOOD-FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT
The consensus was for Staff to negotiate, allowing the Park
District to install soccer fields on both the Village 's Well
Site No. 1 property on Woodcrest and the Rohlwing Road property,
in exchange for the Park District 's allowing the Village to
perform excavation at Udall Park. The Village will remove the
well house and storage tank at Well Site No. 1 . The Park
District will be responsible for installing the soccer field at
both locations. The use of the sites by the Park District will
be on a lease or easement basis with the Village retaining
ownership of the property.
COMMONWEALTH EDISON FRANCHISE AGREEMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to place the agreement on
the July 28 Village Board Agenda.
VILLAGE JURISDICTION OVER OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES
The consensus was to accept the recommendation of the
Assistant Village Manager as outlined in his June 25, 1992
memorandum. In addition, Staff is to report whether the
Hattendorf Center currently has smoke/fire detectors.
KENNEDY BRIDGE PEDESTRIAN HANDRAIL
The consensus of the Committee was to install a handrail .
Staff is to report to the Village Board on the total costs
associated with the installation of each type of handrail, as
well as provide information on the construction of the handrail .
ROHLWING GROVE BINGO REQUEST
The Village Manager indicated that BT Management is seeking
to use the former Eagle store as a Bingo Parlor. The Village
turned down a similar request from the Italian War Veterans in
February.
The Consensus was for Staff to write BT Management declining
their offer to operate a Bingo Parlor.
MARTINGALE WEIGHT LIMIT - 12 Ton
The consensus of the Committee was to post a 12-ton Weight
Limit sign on Martingale Road in Elk Grove Village as Schaumburg
has done.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
