Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a
regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees
on June 12, 1990 this Executive Session :vas called to consider a
Personnel matter.

PERSONNEL
The Village Board members reviewed the decision to permit
one-time lump-sum bonuses to Department Heads whose performance
levels would produce a salary increase above the top of their
pay range. The amount of the one-time bonus would equal the
difference between the total performance increase and the
amount of that increase above the top of the pay range.
If, for example, a Department Head achieved a performance
evaluation worthy of a 6% increase but was eligible for only
2e before reaching the top of his salary range he would be
eligible for the additional 4% as a one-time lump-sum bonus.
It was the consensus of the Board members that the Manager
be authorized to grant such bonuses to the Assistant Village
Manager, Director of Finance and Police Chief, effective May
1, 1990.
It was also the consensus of the Board members that
the Village Attorney's request of March 20, 1990 for additional
compensation be approved as follows:
® General Retainer -
from $1,000 to $1,250 per month
Prosecution Retainer
from $2,000 to $2,750 per month
The Executive Session was adjourned at 12:15 a.m. , June
13, 1990.
