The Village Board discussed the proposed FY 98-99 health care renewal
costs as recommended by the Personnel Committee. In addition, the Village
Board considered the Village's options for recouping expenses incurred by
other governmental agencies included on the Village's self-funded
insurance program.
Upon further discussion, the consensus of the Village Board was as follows:
• to concur with the Personnel Committee's recommendations for FY
1998-99 health care renewal;
• to consider the health care renewal under the consent agenda at the
4/14/98 Village Board meeting; and
• to seek reimbursement for Village incurred expenses which exceeded
the claims for health care premiums related to Northwest Central
Dispatch (NWCD) and the Elk Grove Park District. NWCD is to
reimburse the Village approximately $57,000 in equal installments
over a 12-month period. In addition, the Village Board authorized the
Village Manager to negotiate a repayment schedule with the Park
District within a 24-month payback period.
The meeting adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
