The proposal would require the Village to retain ownership of the land on which the stadium would be constructed. In addition, the Bears would be making offers on other vacant property for parking purposes. The Village President explained that it would be necessary for the Village Board to consider the feasibility and potential impact of a stadium in the community. In order to do so, professional consulting from experienced firms would need to be obtained. Upon further discussion, the consensus of the Village Board was to authorize the Village Manager and Village Attorney to interview potential development consultants and/or legal counsel and make a recommendation to the Village Board. The estimated cost for preliminary review was $100,000. The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m. Ik es02108.doc
