The Village's citations against Video Update for failure to comply with the conditions of their temporary occupancy permit are in housing court. The case was continued to May. The Village is seeking $500 per day fines for failure to comply, but it is unlikely the judge will levy that amount. Video Update's lawsuit was heard last week. The court denied their request for a mandamus, ordering Elk Grove to issue an occupancy permit. The Village Attorney introduced an ordinance prohibiting exposed neon tube signs. The consensus was to adopt the ordinance at the April 8 Village Board meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m. Ik
