Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on 07/13/99 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

PERSONNEL
The Village President discussed the selection process for a new Chief of Police.
The consensus of the Village Board is as follows:
• Invite the Village Attorney to be involved in the interview process;
• Meet on July 20 at 6 p.m. to discuss the process and at 7:30 p.m. with the professors
from NIU and Northwestern University:
• Meet on July 21 and July 22 with candidates scheduled at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. each
night;
• Meet on July 23 at 6 p.m. to discuss the selection of the Chief of Police.
The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
