LITIGATION
Oakton Street Fire Station
The Village Board discussed the slow pace of construction. President
Johnson stated the Village should explore legal action against the
contractor, and noted that due to the volume of work available in the
marketplace, the Village should be prepared for the contractor to stop work
on the Fire Station.
The consensus of the Village Board was for the Village Attorney to
review the contracts and determine if litigation would be a viable solution.
In addition, Village staff will meet with the contractors to seek a compliance
plan ensuring the project is completed on schedule.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
