Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on 08/24/99 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

PERSONNEL
Fire Captain Promotion
Village Manager Parrin reported that Lt. Jim Forde will be promoted to
Captain to replace Al Mergens after his retirement. He requested
authorization to offer a 10% salary increase to bring Jim Forde into a
comparable pay range with the current Captains, since Lieutenants have not
received a pay increase for this fiscal year. The consensus of the Board was
to authorize a 10%pay increase.
