Litijzation
Mr. Karaganis provided an update on litigation with the City of Chicago
regarding planned expansion of O'Hare airport. Judgement on the case is
expected later this year.
He further reported that the other member communities of the Suburban
O'Hare Commission (S.O.C.) are increasing their dues payments to
continue litigation and retain professional public relations services.
The consensus of the Board was to:
• fund an additional $30,000 for the lawsuit against Chicago; in the FY
2000-01 budget; and
• to add $1.00 per capita to the FY 00-01 budget for increased
Suburban O'Hare Commission dues.
The meeting reconvened into Committee of the Whole at 8:55 p.m.
