Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on 10/24/00 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Litigation matter.

LITIGATION
Mayor Johnson discussed the Park District's liability concerns about participating in the
implementation of a lightning prediction system throughout the community. The Village
Attorney discussed his opinion on potential liability and stated it may not be a major
liability concern for any participating agencies. The consensus of the Village Board was
for the attorney to complete a review of the issue and communicate his findings and
opinion to the Mayor for his review and for forwarding to the Park District and other
officials.
