AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-4-5-1(B) OF THE VILLAGE CODE AS IT
PERTAINS TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS
WITHIN THE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, Section 6-4-5-1(B) of the Village Code "Additional Restrictions On
Parking" currently prohibits vehicle parking on certain designated streets between the hours of
7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees, upon a review of staff recommendation,
find and believe, that extending the hours of permitted parking will benefit the commercial and
industrial business on the affected designated streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-4-5-1(B) of the Village Code be amended to read as follows:
B. Additional Restrictions on Parking: Except as provided for hereinafter, parking is
permitted on all days of the week from five o'clock (5:00) A.M. to eleven o'clock
(11:00) P.M. and prohibited from eleven o'clock (11:00) P.M. to five o'clock (5:00)
A.M. on the following enumerated streets:
Bennett Road
Bonaventure Drive
Bond Street
Criss Circle
Garlish Drive
Gaylord Street
Gordon Street
Joey Drive
Kelly Street
King Street
Lee Street
Lively Boulevard, north of Higgins Road
Martin Lane
Pagni Drive
Pauly Drive
Randall Street, north of Higgins Road
Scott Street
Section 2: Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject
to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars
($500.00) for each offense.
Section 3: The Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet
form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
