Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a
regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees
on 10/13/92 this Executive Session was called to consider a
Personnel matter.

PERSONNEL
The Village Board discussed the Manager's process to
fill the vacant position of Deputy Police Chief.
The consensus of the Board was to have Staff consider
two options for further discussion:
1. To consider opening the position to outside candidates;
or,
2. Consider creating an exempt Lieutenant position,
and promote from within to fill that position. The
position would hold the rank of Lieutenant while
assessing whether the individual possesses the
abilities necessary to function in the position of
Deputy Police Chief.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:15 a.m.
