Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a
regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on
April 13, 1993,this Executive Session was called to consider a personnel
matter.

PERSONNEL
The Village Board discussed the Unfair Labor Practice charge
decision rendered by the new hearing officer. The decision was
inconsistent and may have exceeded State Statue regarding the
award of interest .
The Village Manager noted the Village has the option to
appeal the Hearing Officer 's decision to the Executive Committee
of the Illinois State Labor Relations Board. The cost to do so
would be $2,000 to $3,000.
The consensus of the Board was to proceed with the appeal to
the Illinois State Labor Relations Board.
The meeting adjourned at 10:05 p.m.
