Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at
a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of
Trustees on July 13, 1993, this Executive Session was called to
consider a personnel matter.

PERSONNEL
The consensus of the Committee was to concur with the
creation of an exempt position for the classification of Fire
Captain. Before proceeding with the ordinance creating the exempt
positions, the Village President and Village Manager will discuss
the exemption with the Fire and Police Commission. In addition,
the exemption will be discussed with Labor Attorney, Bob Long, to
determine if the exemption will have a possible impact on Fire
Union negotiations. Also, the exemption will be discussed. with .
the current Fire Captains.
