Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at
a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of
Trustees on October 19, 1993, this Executive Session was called to
consider a litigation matter.

LITIGATION
The Village President informed the Board that approval will
be sought to hire a consultant to determine whether the Grove
Mall qualifies as a blighted area in preparation for condemnation
litigation against Jewel if necessary. Appraisers are also going
to be retained to place a value on the lease in advance of any
condemnation proceedings.
The cost for the consultant is not to exceed a total of
$8,000, for initial review and determination. If a court
appearance is necessary, the consultant bills at $200 per hour.
The consensus of the Board was to place this item on the
October 26 Village Agenda under New Business.
