Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee discussed the December 29 report issued
by the Village Manager. The consensus of the Committee was to
recommend the following:
1 . That Merit pay plan employees receive the same general
wage increase as Step Pay Pian employees, provided that
a level of satisfactory performance is maintained by the
employee. In addition, a merit pay allocation for Above
Average and Excellent performance be awarded to merit
employees but the total amount of the combined general
increase and merit allocation would not exceed 6% .
2 . That a management incentive program be established
consisting of annual lump sum payments to all merit
employees by group. There would be four (4) groups with
payments on November 1 of each year in the amounts of
$400, $500, $575, and $650. The group classifications
are designated in the Village Manager 's report.
3. That a range movement pool of 1 .5% be established for
merit pay plan employees. Such range movement amounts
would range from 0% to 3% .
In addition, the consensus of the Committee was to not recommend
increasing the maximum pay range to the 75th percentile of
comparable communities.
The meeting concluded at 9 p.m.
