Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at
a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of
Trustees on March 8, 1994, this Executive Session was called to
consider a litigation matter.

LITIGATION
The Village Attorney advised the Board of recent activity
with the Grove Mall .
Assuming that Jewel accepts the offer of $50,000 for the
lease and no condemnation litigation is sought, redevelopment of
the center could proceed quickly this year with ground breaking
by this fall . However, the Village Attorney noted that
upper-level executives of Jewel are now becoming involved with
the lease and have mentioned wanting a global settlement,
including the anti-trust lawsuit and lease issue.
The Village Attorney will continue to speak with Jewel on
this issue.
