Village President Dennis Gallitano summarized the Village' s position by stating, "The Village has waited long enough for Grove Mall and Jewel to resolve their differences amicably. The Village cannot continue to sit idly by while a blight condition exists. It is time for the Village to step forward in a positive and ex- peditious manner in order to safeguard the economic viability of the Village and cure the economic blight occasioned by the legal entanglement of private parties.
