Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at
a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of
Trustees on August 9, 1994 this Executive Session was called to
consider a land acquisition matter.

LAND ACQUISITION
Discussion took place on acquiring 1 .5 acres of land for
a new fire station. It was noted that land appraisal of the
Busse Farm places the value of land at $3 to $4 per square
foot for this purpose. It was further noted that if Busse
does not agree to sell the land at a reasonable cost,
condemnation to acquire the land is possible. Since the Busse
farm is unincorporated it was questioned if condemnation of
unincorporated property is possible.
The consensus of the Board was as follows:
-- Have the Village Attorney confirm if condemnation of
unincorporated property is possible; and
-- Have Trustee Tosto approach Busse with the offer to
purchase 1 .5 acres of his farm at a price of
$4 .00/square foot .
