Tosto Village Trustee Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on 3-14-95, this Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter. Number of pages attached: Date(s) of review for release: 7/95 Date of approval for release: _ y8- 9 R March 14, 1995 9:50 p.m. The Village Board discussed the recommendation from the Village Manager regarding wages and salaries. It was the Consensus of the Village Board to: 1. Provide a 3.4% General Increase for the General Employee Step Pay Plan effective April 24, 1995; 2. Provide for a Longevity Program for full time General Step Pay Plan employees, payable on or about November 1, 1995, in accordance with the following schedule: Length of Service Longevity Amount 10 yrs. thru 15 yrs. $150.00 16 yrs. thru 19 yrs. 250.00 20 yrs, plus 350.00 The announcement of this program will be made concurrent with the announcements of other FY 1995-1996 wage matters. 3. Provide for the following Merit Pay Plan adjustments: a. A 3.4% Merit Plan Rate Range adjustment; b. A 3.4% General Merit Adjustment for all Merit Pay Plan employees who are performing their job in a satisfactory manner; c. A Merit Pool of 1.75% of current salaries be funded for merit increases of between 0% and 2.2%. d. A Range Movement Pool of 0.75% of current merit salaries to be administered by the Village Manager for addressing individual situations for range movement adjustments of between 0% and 2%. e. The continuation of the Management Enhancement Program (MEP) at the same levels as the previous Fiscal Year: (Group I - $400; Group II - $500; Group III - $575; Group IV - $650) . 4. Provide for the following Specific Rate Pay Plan adjustment: a. A 3.4% increase for Crossing Guards, Residential Water Meter Readers, Custodial and Seasonal employees; b. Establish part-time intern rates as follows: 2 March 14, 1995 Page 2 9:50 p.m. Undergraduate Rates $7.00/hr. Graduate School Rates $7.50/hr. Entrance $8.50/hr. After 6 mos. 5. Provide for the following Specific Wage considerations: a. For the Step Pay Plan Utility System Operators, the two employees in the red circled range shall be eligible for 1 .7%; b. The Social Worker Supervisor is eligible for 50% of his determined merit increase, but his current salary will not reflect the increase on a permanent basis; 6. Provide for the following job title changes: a. Economic Development Assistant to Economic Development Officer; b. Personnel Officer to Human Resources Officer; and c. Ordinance Control Coordinator to Ordinance Control Clerk. The Personnel Officer, Administrative Assistant, and Assistant Village Manager were excused from the meeting at 11:10 p.m. 7. The Village Board concurred with the recommendation of the Village Manager to increase the Assistant Village Manager's salary 10.3%. The meeting concluded at 11:15 p.m. /pd
