Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at
a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of
Trustees on October 10, 1995 this Executive Session was called to
consider a Litigation matter.

LITIGATION
The Village Attorney brought the Village Board up to date
on the status of the Village On The Lake parking issue. The
Village Attorney stated that the parking stalls were
intentionally widened to 10 feet in order to assist drivers
who were not handicapped but needed extra space. In addition,
drivers with difficulties could purchase a reserved parking
space near their building for $25.00 per year. The Village
Attorney indicated that Village On The Lake had no intentions
of restriping the lot.
The consensus of the Committee was for Village staff to
notify Village On The Lake that it is in violation of Village
codes for parking. They have two options: the Village will
allow them to undergo the required ZBA hearing process to
obtain a zoning variation to permit a reduction in the
required number of parking spaces or they will face
enforcement litigation by the Village.
The meeting adjourned at 9 :09 p.m.
