Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at
a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of
Trustees on October 10, 1995 this Executive Session was called to
consider a litigation matter.

LITIGATION
The Village Manager brought the Village Board up to date
on the current status of Foreign Fire Insurance litigation and
legislation, and the amount of Foreign Fire Insurance revenue
currently in escrow.
The Village Manager recommended that the village exercise
their ability to spend escrowed revenue on a Fire Department
purpose and to allow the Firefighters the ability to provide
input during the budget process for Foreign Fire Insurance
revenue received beginning November 1995, subject to the funds
being appropriated by the Village Board through the budget
process.
Upon further discussion the consensus of the village
Board was as follows:
-- to inform the firefighters of their available options
for creating a formal Foreign Fire Insurance Board as
informal budget committee; and
-- to have the Village Attorney contact Jack Siegal to
confirm agreements made between the IML and IAFF
regarding the disposition of Foreign Fire Insurance
revenues.
