Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on lanuary2 3, 1996
this Executive Session was called to consider a Litigation matter.

Litigation
The Village Attorney brought the Village Board up to
date on the status of the Villa Marcella liquor license
request.
The Village Attorney stated that it may be difficult to
deny their liquor license request based on the unwillingness
of Chicago and the FBI to make public facts which support
the Village's case. In addition, any denial by the Village
could be overturned by the Illinois State Liquor Commission.
Upon further discussion, it was the consensus of the
Village Board to do the following:
-- contact the City of Chicago and the FBI to see if
they will release the information on the license
applicants; and
-- consider rejecting the license or granting a
probationary license depending upon the outcome of
the first item.
The meeting adjourned at 11 :44 p.m.
