Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on February 13, 1996,
this Executive Session was called to consider a litigation matter.

LITIGATION
The Village Attorney brought the Village Board up to
date on the status of the Villa Marcella liquor license
request.
The Village Attorney stated that the Village Board had
two options. They,could either grant the license on a
temporary basis or they could deny the license all together.
If the Village Board chose to deny the license, the Village
may be required to defend their decision to the Illinois
Liquor Control Commission and in court.
Upon further discussion it was the consensus of the
Village Board to deny the Villa Marcella liquor license
request pursuant to the recormnendation of the Chief of
Police and to direct the Village Attorney to prepare a
defense should their denial be appealed to the State.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
