Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on April 9, 1996
Executive Session was called to consider a litigation matter.

Litigation
The Village Attorney brought the Village Board up to date on the status
of the personal injury suit filed against the Village related to an accident
in the parkway at 310 Charing Cross Road. The Village Attorney
recommended that the Village settle out of court on the basis that the
Village would most likely lose if it went to trial.
Upon discussion, the consensus of the Village Board was as follows:
• to settle the suit subject to the inclusion of a "no comment"
clause in the settlement, and
• to make the initial settlement offer at $20,000 with a
maximum settlement agreement of$30,000.
The meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
