Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on April 23. 1996. this
Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

PERSONNEL
The Village Board reviewed the Village Manager's memo on the purpose
and guidelines of the 15-mile residency requirement for all public safety personnel.
Upon discussion, it was the consensus of the Village Board to have the
Village Manager meet with employee representatives of the uniformed services to
discuss their thoughts on residency and whether or not they wish to keep it as an
employment requirement. The Village Manager will present his findings to the
Village Board upon meeting with the employee representatives.
.In addition, there was a consensus to eliminate the residency requirement
pending the findings of the Manager following the employee meetings.
The meeting adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
