Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on May 14, 1996
Executive Session was called to consider a land acquisition matter.

LAND ACQUISITION
The Village President reported that he, the Village Manager, Village
Attorney, and Trustee Johnson had met with various urban planners and
development consultants to discuss the redevelopment of the Grove Mall property.
Upon discussion of the qualifications of each group, the consensus of the Village
Board was as follows:
• to engage Pettigrew, Allen & Payne to do both the urban planning and
T.1.F. financing work with the understanding that the Village will hire
another planning firm if not satisfied with their product;
• to have Trkla, Pettigrew, Allen & Payne conduct individual interviews
with each Trustee to determine their goals/vision for the property; and
• to use Chapman & Cutler as bond counsel for the TIF financing subject to
acceptability of their proposal.
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
