LISSNER Village Trustee Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on May 14, 1996 Executive Session was called to consider a litigation matter. LITIGATION The Village Attorney reported that he and the Village Manager held a tenant meeting with the remaining tenants of the Grove Mall to discuss their future plans. The Village Attorney stated that the tenants had expressed a desire to remain at their current location until January 1, 1997 in order to take advantage of the holiday season. The Village Attorney stated that Walgreen's was permitted to stay until January 1, 1997 under the terms of the settlement agreement but that everyone else could be removed by October 1, 1996. Upon further discussion the consensus of the Village Board was as follows: • to have Goodyear and the Dry Cleaners removed at the conclusion of their current lease; • to allow all other stores to remain until such time that their buildings are ready to be razed or the first of the year; and • have staff investigate demolishing the mall around existing tenants.
