LITIGATION
The Village Attorney presented two options for
consideration in order to prevent the relocation of the
CBS/WBBM Tower in Roselle:
- Initiate a lawsuit (in Federal Court) against the Army
Corps of Engineers for failure to require CBS to submit
alternative sites for its review prior to issuance
of a permit to develop in wetlands.
Karaganis would handle the litigation at an estimated
cost of $25,000.
- File a lawsuit against: the Village of Roselle to void
the annexation for failure to follow their ordinances
and procedural requirements.
Knickerbocker would handle the litigation at an
estimated cost of $15,000.
The consensus of the Village Board was to have Karaganis
initiate a lawsuit against the Army Corps of Engineers.
