Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a
regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees
on August 11, 1992 , this Executive Session was called to consider a
litigation matter.

LITIGATION
The Village Attorney brought the Board up to date on the
possible settlement of litigation with CBS over the relocation of
the WBBM Radio Tower.
The settlement would amount to approximately $850,000.
An estimated $150,000 of the settlement would be utilized to cover
the Village's legal expenses, while the remaining amount would be
utilized for relocation expenses if residents choose to relocate
due to their concerns about the tower. CBS would guarantee no
interference from the tower, including replacement of parts and/or
equipment that can not be corrected to eliminate the interference.
The Attorney opined that CBS will probably not agree to subsidize
medical insurance premiums or establish a medical panel to determine
the health effects of radio waves near the tower.
The meeting adjourned at 11:30 pm.
