Gallitano, Village Trustee Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on July 1 1993, this Executive Session was called to consider a personnel matter. C � 4� �c Number of pages attached: 1 7- Date(s) of review for release: July 1, 1993 Date of approval for release: z/- -Z'�- F-5 . 3/23,'93 6:00 p.m. Personnel The Village Board discussed wages and salaries for Village personnel, as well as the addition/deletion of certain positions. The consensus of the Board was as follows: 1 . Grant the Fire Chief an 8% salary increase per the Village Manager's .3-19-93 memo. 2. Act on the recommendation of the Village Manager on Personnel requests as follows (as contained in the Village Manager's .3-18-93 memo) . -- eliminate one (1) Clerk Receptionist position and one (I) 6-month maintenance worker position in the Public Works Department . -- add one (1) Senior Clerk position to the Village Manager's Office/Personnel activity. The cost of the position (wages, pension and benefits) is to be added to the cost of the self-insured health insurance premium. -- Do not reclassify a Clerk to Senior Clerk in the Police Department. -- Do not reclassify two (2) Improvements Inspectors to Engineering Technicians in the Engineering & Community Development Department . -- Do not reclassify a Clerk to Senior Clerk in the Engineering & Community Development Department . -- Add the position of Administrative Assistant to the Finance Department. 3. Secretarial positions serving the Village President and Village Manager are eligible for an additional $100 per month. The meeting recessed at 7:55 p.m. The meeting reconvened at 9:30 p.m. 4 . The consensus of the Committee was for the Village Manager to examine granting 0-1 .5% market range adjustments to certain step-pay plan positions and 3.5% value adjustment to all the step-plans after market adjustment . The meeting recessed at 10:50 p.m. The meeting is to reconvene on Saturday, April 3, at 2 p.m.
