Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a
regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on
April 13, 1993,this Executive Session was called to consider a personnel
matter.

PERSONNEL
The Village Manager reported on the two proposals to conduct
an assessment center to develop a list of candidates for the
position of Police Commander.
The first proposal is that from the Police Chief of Palatine,
who has conducted assessment centers in the past . The second
proposal is that from Stephen A. Laser Associates, a group of
industrial psychologists.
All Sergeants will have the opportunity to participate in the
assessment center.
The consensus of the Board was to accept the proposal from
Stephen A. Laser Associates at a cost of $750 per candidate
(estimated $9, 750 total) for a one-day assessment center of all
candidates.
This item will be placed on the 4127/93 agenda .
The meeting adjourned at 10:33 p.m.
