Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at
a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of
Trustees on September 14, 1993, this Executive Session was called
to consider a land acquisition matter.

LAND ACQUISITION
The Village Manager reported on a necessary land acquisition
for Phase II Biesterfield Road improvements from a property owner
at the northeast corner of Arlington Heights and Biesterfield
Roads (6 Kennedy Boulevard) .
The Village Manager stated that an offer of $8,000 for the
property, including the value of the land and damages, was
agreed to by the property owner. Upon initial offer the resident
wanted a guardrail to be placed along the Arlington Heights Road
frontage of their property. When the resident was informed that
the guardrail was unwarranted the resident increased the amount
of compensation for the land to $10,500.
The consensus of the Committee was for staff to advise the
negotiator to pay up to $10,500 for the property.
